Job summary

City of General Trias Doctor Medical Center is seeking a dedicated nurse to join our TB care team. This role focuses on patient assessment, treatment management, and implementing Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) to ensure adherence to anti-TB medications.

You will collaborate with physicians, laboratories, and pharmacy to coordinate TB-related services, monitor progress, document TB DOTS records, and promote infection control practices within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BSN graduate with valid RN licensure (PRC)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong documentation and record-keeping ability
• Solid knowledge of basic nursing procedures, assessment, and medication administration
• Experience in hospital/clinical TB care preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and screening of TB patients
• Assist physicians in diagnosis, treatment, and management of TB patients
• Implement Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) for medication adherence
• Educate patients and families on TB prevention and treatment
• Monitor treatment progress and report adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate TB DOTS records and documentation
• Coordinate TB-related services with lab, radiology and pharmacy
• Participate in TB case finding, contact tracing, and health promotion
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control policies
