Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a senior tax leader in Laguna, Philippines, to drive critical tax initiatives for a global wholesale trading and services organisation. The role is fully onsite, based in Laguna, with responsibility for tax filings and regulatory engagements across business units.

You will mentor junior staff, develop internal controls, and provide advisory support to stakeholders while staying aligned with evolving Philippine tax regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of strong technical taxation experience.
• Leadership or people management exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations (VAT, withholding taxes, CIT).
• Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders, tax authorities and external consultants.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

The Successful Applicant

Non-negotiables:

• At least 3 years of strong technical taxation experience
• Leadership or people management exposure
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate income tax
• Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders, tax authorities, and external consultants
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Tax Technician (CTT)
• Experience within a multinational or regional organisation
