MEGA PRIME FOODS INCORPORATED is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax strategy, compliance, and reporting. You will manage relationships with the BIR and LGUs, oversee audits, and handle corporate tax planning to ensure full regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities include supervising tax staff, evaluating changes in tax laws, and driving efficiencies across tax operations. A CPA and strong knowledge of Philippine tax code are highly valued.
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and oversee our overall tax strategy, compliance, and reporting. In this role, you will lead our tax operations, ensure strict adherence to tax regulations, manage relationships with the Bureau of Internal Revenue and local government units, and handle complex tax audits and corporate tax planning.
Tax Leadership & Strategy: Lead corporate tax planning, risk management, and strategic initiatives to ensure optimal tax efficiency in full compliance with local regulations.
Compliance Oversight: Review and approve all monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR filings (VAT, Withholding Taxes, Corporate Income Tax) and ensure timely submission via eFPS/eBIRForms.
Audit & Authority Management: Serve as the primary lead for BIR examinations, Letters of Authority (LOAs), and LGU business tax assessments; manage disputes and tax appeals.
LGU & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee annual LGU business permit renewals, real property tax payments, and statutory registrations across operating branches.
Advisory & Governance: Interpret changes in Philippine tax legislation (BIR Revenue Regulations, RMCs) and advise executive leadership on business impacts.
Team Supervision & Development: Mentor and manage senior/junior tax accounting staff, driving operational efficiency and professional growth.
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Technical Expertise:
Deep expertise in the Philippine Tax Code, BIR processes, and transfer pricing guidelines.
Proven track record in handling complex BIR audits and LOA defense.
Hands-on proficiency with ERP platforms and BIR digital portals.
Soft Skills: Executive communication, strong strategic negotiation skills, team leadership, and decisive problem-solving capabilities.
