Job Title: Accountant & Tax Specialist
The Accountant & Tax Specialist is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate tax compliance, and supporting the company’s statutory reporting requirements in accordance with Philippine laws. This role involves preparing financial statements, handling BIR filings, reconciling accounts, and advising on tax-efficient strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger updates.
- Monitor payables and receivables to ensure timely processing.
- Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns with the BIR, including:
- VAT (2550M/2550Q)
- Withholding Taxes (1601EQ, 0619E/F, 1604E/F)
- Income Tax Returns (1701/1702)
- Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)
- Ensure compliance with PEZA, SEC, LGUs, or other regulatory filings when applicable.
- Maintain proper documentation to support tax filings and defend assessments or audits.
- Keep track of tax deadlines and ensure filings and payments are done accurately and on time.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate business permit renewals, annual reports, and compliance requirements with BIR, SEC, LGUs, PEZA, or other relevant agencies.
- Stay updated with tax regulations and government policies affecting compliance.
- Recommend tax-saving strategies aligned with Philippine tax laws.
- Provide management insights on financial performance, tax exposure, and compliance risks.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.
Minimum Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting and tax filing in the Philippines.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine BIR rules, regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

- WHT filing — Monthly
- GIS filing — Annually
- ITR — Annually
- VAT refund filing — Annually
- License and permit renewal — Annual
- Purchase invoice processing, supplier settlements, sales invoicing, delivery receipts, and client invoicing
- BIR2307 rollout to suppliers and receipt management
- Salary computation
- Payment computation to suppliers (WHT)
- Accounts receivable from clients
- Coordination with space lessor and outsourced agencies as needed
