Job summary

MediCard Phils., Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a senior tax professional to develop and implement tax strategies, manage tax accounting and filings, and optimise the group tax position.

You will prepare and maintain tax records and reports, analyse upcoming legislation, recommend compliant ways to minimise tax, and coordinate with external consultants to ensure regulatory compliance and timely advice for internal stakeholders. The role reports to the Finance Department.

• Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies, tax accounting and tax filing / reporting to optimise the tax paid by AIA and to ensure compliance with AIA group tax policy and statutory and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and maintain tax records, returns, reports, and other tax related materials
• Recommend alternative tax treatments to alleviate tax burden and devise legal means to minimise tax liability using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Conduct research and analysis of existing and upcoming tax legislation to support AIA's tax planning and tax strategy
• Engage with external tax consultants to keep abreast of tax and regulatory developments and provide tax advice to internal stakeholders
