Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Tax Compliance Supervisor to lead tax compliance and optimize strategies across its distribution units and related entities. You will direct timely filings with BIR and other regulators, manage LGU obligations, and drive planning and advisory work while educating stakeholders on new tax laws.

The role emphasizes hands-on tax work, leadership of a small team, and collaboration with multiple business units to ensure compliant, efficient tax operations in a dynamic energy

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of total Philippine corporate tax experience with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of BIR platforms (eFPS, eBIRForms).
• Hands-on experience preparing and filing BIR tax returns and year-end submissions.

Tax Compliance Supervisor

Location: Cebu City

Job Level: Supervisor

Business Unit: AP Distribution Utilities - DFG

As Tax Compliance Supervisor, you will lead tax compliance and drive tax optimization strategies across our Distribution Utilities (DUs), Enerzones (EZs) and operating companies under the AP Distribution Finance Group (DFG) and other small operating/non-operating companies that may need support. You will work closely with DU team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Directing timely filings and statutory reportorial requirements with the BIR, PEZA, and other regulatory bodies.
2. Managing local government compliance, tax obligations, and annual business permit renewals across all operating locations.
3. Driving tax planning, business transaction advisory, and educating stakeholders on new tax laws.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone with:

• 3–5 years total in Philippine corporate tax, with at least 1–2 years in a direct supervisory capacity.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and working knowledge of BIR platforms (eFPS, eBIRForms).
• Direct hands-on experience preparing and filing BIR tax returns and year-end submissions.
• Hands-on experience with PEZA monthly reports, statutory reporting, securing CETIs, and managing LGU compliance.
• CPA license is an advantage, but not required.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm environment is an advantage.
