Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Tax and Compliance Supervisor to lead tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and audits with BIR, PEZA, and LGUs. You will work closely with the Finance and Accounting Team to ensure accuracy and compliance while supporting business growth.

The role requires strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, at least 4 years in tax/compliance, and a CPA is preferred. You will supervise a Tax and Compliance Specialist/Analyst and drive governance across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related 4-year business field is required.
• CPA license is preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of work experience in tax/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance and audit readiness across BIR, PEZA, and LGU requirements.
• Review and oversee tax filings, audits, and input VAT/CWT recovery.
• Supervise Tax and Compliance Specialist/Analyst and coordinate with stakeholders for audit resolution and governance.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting Team to deliver accurate regulatory reporting.

As the Tax and Compliance Supervisor you will be responsible for tax compliance and management, Local Government Unit (LGU) related obligations, statutory reporting to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other regulatory bodies and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Finance and Accounting Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities will be the following:

This role will lead the tax compliance and audit readiness efforts of the organization, ensuring adherence to tax laws, regulations, and internal policies across BIR, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and LGU requirements.

This role is responsible for the review and oversight of tax filings, handling audits, and for the recovery of input Value-Added Tax (VAT) and excess Creditable Withholding Taxes (CWT).

This role is also responsible for supervising the work of Tax and Compliance Specialist/Analyst and coordinating with key stakeholders for audit resolution, process improvements, and compliance governance.
