Statutory Reporting & Compliance Accountant
PRIMARY ROLE AND PURPOSE
To ensure company-wide compliance with statutory (BIR, SEC, DOE, etc.) and internal accounting reporting requirements through centralized monitoring, consolidation, and assurance.
The role is also responsible for the preparation and consolidated filing of all company-wide BIR returns through eFPS, and for maintaining an organized statutory archiving and filing system.

- 100% on-time submission of statutory and BIR reports
- Zero penalties for delayed filings
- Accuracy of consolidated filings – ≥98%
- Compliance monitoring coverage – 100% monthly
- Proper archiving and filing of all statutory documents – 100%
OPERATING NETWORK/INTERACTION
- Work with Plant Accountants on tax schedules and reconciliation
- Work with Operations Department’s Compliance Officer for updates compliance status of areas under Ops (DOE, LGU, DOLE)
- Coordinates with Legal for issues that need legal guidance and advise
- Coordinates with External and government examiners for compliance-related reviews
SPECIFIC FUNCTION/S
- BIR and Statutory Compliance Prepare, consolidate, and file all company-wide BIR returns (VAT,EWT, FWT, 1702, 2316, etc.) through eFPS based on plant submissions.
- Maintain a compliance tracker covering all statutory and regulatory filings (BIR, SEC, DOE, DOLE, LGU, etc.)
- Manage the archiving and filing system for all statutory reports, attachments, and regulatory correspondence. Recommend corrective or preventive actions for recurring compliance issues.
PERSON/S SPECIFICATION
- BS Accountancy graduate, CPA preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in tax, compliance, or general accounting
- Strong knowledge of BIR systems (eFPS, RELIEF, Alphalist)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong coordination and communication skills across departments
