Job summary

GECO is seeking a Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead technology hiring across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. You’ll own vacancies from briefing to day one, partnering with regional account managers and hiring teams to build strong shortlists and smooth onboarding.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years or more of recruitment experience, ideally in IT recruitment, staffing or an agency environment.
• Evidence of sourcing and placing candidates for specialist or challenging roles.
• Strong English communication skills and confidence speaking with candidates and regional stakeholders.
• The organisation to manage several live vacancies without losing track of people or commitments.
• An interest in technology and a willingness to learn the roles and markets you recruit for.
• Recruitment experience in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia would be valuable. Strong Philippines IT recruiters ready to grow into regional hiring are welcome too.
• Bahasa Indonesia or Bahasa Melayu language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.

Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist
Markets: Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia

You’ll support technology hiring across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, working closely with our regional account managers and hiring teams. From specialist consultants to professionals supporting major technology projects, the people you recruit will help our clients deliver.

You’ll take ownership of your vacancies from the first briefing to the candidate’s first day.

• Understand the real requirement. Get close to the role, the team and the business need. Ask good questions and challenge an unclear brief.

• Find people worth speaking to. Go beyond applications. Use LinkedIn, job portals, referrals and direct outreach to reach active and passive talent.

• Have meaningful candidate conversations. Understand their experience, ambitions, salary expectations and reasons for considering a move.

• Make a case for your shortlist. Tell hiring teams why someone fits, where the gaps are and what needs further assessment.

• Keep the process moving. Coordinate interviews, follow up on feedback and help both sides make informed decisions.

• Stay close through the offer and joining stages. Surface concerns early, manage expectations and reduce last-minute surprises.

• Build for the next requirement. Develop talent networks across SAP, Oracle, software engineering, cloud, data, AI and IT support.

• Learn the differences across markets. Adapt your sourcing and candidate engagement to local expectations, working with country teams on employment and onboarding requirements.
