Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Systems Programmer in Paco, Manila to develop, test, implement, and upgrade information systems and applications. You will collaborate with users to identify requirements, ensure data accuracy and security, and provide technical support and training.

The role emphasizes independent work and teamwork to deliver system enhancements. The position is onsite with a Monday–Friday schedule (8am–6pm), transitioning to a hybrid setup after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in systems development, programming, implementation and maintenance.
• Experience in retail, distribution, or related industries preferred.
• Experience with Oracle APEX, PostgreSQL or similar database platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of systems analysis, software development, database management, and data security protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to data accuracy.
• Good communication skills to gather user requirements, provide technical assistance, and train users.
• Ability to work independently and with a team to deliver system projects and enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, implement, maintain, and upgrade computer systems and applications independently or with a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, implement, maintain, and upgrade computer systems and applications independently or in collaboration with the team.
• Gather and analyze user requirements to ensure that developed or enhanced systems meet business needs and operational requirements.
• Plan, recommend, design, and evaluate systems solutions, including packaged software, development tools, and other technology-related projects.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), resolve identified issues, and provide user training to support successful system implementation and adoption.
• Ensure compliance with data security protocols and maintain the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of system data.
• Prepare and maintain complete technical documentation, including system specifications, program changes, testing results, and implementation procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including system errors, installations, repairs, and end-user technical support.
• Identify opportunities to introduce and implement new technologies, system enhancements, and process improvements to improve operational efficiency.
• Review, validate, debug, and correct programs and data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity.
• Monitor system performance and functionality, address technical issues, and recommend appropriate solutions to maintain reliable operations.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
