Job summary

APW Tech is seeking a Senior Systems & Network Engineer to own cloud and on-prem infrastructure, focusing on Netgate/pfSense, Linux, AWS, and Microsoft technologies. You will manage cloud and identity services, scale security measures, and ensure highly available systems.

You will work with engineering teams, act as the top escalation point, and drive automation, reliability, and performance improvements across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Strong experience supporting Linux and cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level 3 escalation for complex infrastructure, cloud, networking and systems issues.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using logs and monitoring data.
• Design and implement long-term solutions to improve platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Support cloud environments and workload optimization across AWS and Azure.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Systems & Network Engineer who thrives on building, optimizing, and securing modern IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a highly skilled infrastructure professional with expertise in Netgate/pfSense, Linux, AWS, enterprise networking, and Microsoft technologies. You will take ownership of cloud infrastructure, network operations, identity management, and office IT systems while serving as the highest technical escalation point for complex issues. You'll work closely with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and highly available.
