Job summary

Our Clients in Paco, Manila is seeking a Systems Developer to design, maintain, and enhance computer systems and applications to meet business requirements and operate efficiently.

You will gather user requirements, coordinate with departments, perform testing and debugging, implement changes with minimal disruption, maintain system security and documentation, and provide user training as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, CE or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in systems development or IT support.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming and software development.
• Familiarity with database management and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and implement programs based on requirements.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements.
• Coordinate with end users to understand requirements and provide support.
• Conduct demonstrations, UAT, and user training as needed.
• Test, debug, and deploy system changes with minimal business disruption.

Job Description:

The Systems Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the company's computer systems and applications to ensure they meet business requirements and operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Development and Enhancement

• Develop, modify, test, and implement computer programs and applications based on approved business requirements.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.

Requirements Gathering and User Support

• Coordinate with end users and department representatives to understand their system requirements and operational concerns.
• Conduct system demonstrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and user training before and after implementation.

System Testing and Implementation

• Perform program testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and correct errors before deployment.
• Implement approved system changes, updates, and new applications with minimal disruption to business operations.

System Administration and Maintenance

• Maintain and monitor assigned applications, programs, and related computer systems.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous and efficient operation.

Data Security and Integrity

• Follow company policies and established procedures on information security, data privacy, and system access.
• Help protect company information against unauthorized access, loss, and improper modification.

Project Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, program updates, testing results, user guides, and implementation procedures.
• Keep records of system modifications, troubleshooting activities, and completed projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
• Preferably with at least 1–2 years of relevant experience in systems development, programming, application support, or IT-related functions.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming languages and software development.
• Familiarity with database management, SQL, and data handling.
• Knowledge of system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software installation, and basic network concepts.
• Understanding of information security, data privacy, and system documentation.
• Ability to gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into workable solutions.
