About the role

CW Global People is seeking a System Administrator with AWS Experience to join our growing technology team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to manage and optimise our cloud infrastructure while supporting our IT operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining system performance, security, and reliability across our AWS environment and on-premises infrastructure. You will be a key member of our IT operations team, directly contributing to the stability and efficiency of our business-critical systems.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage, monitor and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 storage and networking components
2. Deploy, configure and troubleshoot servers, operating systems and system software to ensure optimal performance and security
3. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity
4. Monitor system health and performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues proactively
5. Manage user access controls, permissions and security protocols across systems and applications
6. Conduct regular system updates, patches and maintenance activities with minimal downtime
7. Document system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides for knowledge management
8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users and support teams
9. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement new systems and upgrades
10. Maintain compliance with IT policies, security standards and industry regulations

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a System Administrator with hands-on AWS cloud platform experience (minimum 2 years)
2. Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch and Load Balancing
3. Experience managing Linux and/or Windows Server environments in production settings
4. Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and VPNs
5. Proficiency with system monitoring and management tools
6. Knowledge of database administration and backup/recovery strategiesUnderstanding of security best practices, user access management and compliance requirements
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
9. Relevant IT certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent are highly desirable
