Job summary

Pilmico Foods Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Breeder Farm Senior Supervisor to support the Farm Manager in driving swine production across breeder and nursery operations. You will supervise, direct, and optimize farm activities to achieve production efficiency and cost targets.

You will oversee farm operations, bio-security, inventory and data accuracy, budget adherence, and collaboration with teams to maintain facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Agri-related degrees.
• Experience: 5+ years supervisory experience in a large swine farm.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent organization, data analysis, and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Farm Manager to oversee swine production and farm operations.

Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Breeder Farm Senior Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Farm Manager in supervising, directing and managing the operation of the breeder and nursery farms to achieve the targeted production efficiency and cost of production.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Farm Operations
1. Assist the Farm Manager to manage and oversee the swine production process and farm operations in order to achieve the targeted production performance.
2. Recommends and implements enhancements to existing processes and activities.
3. Help ensure appropriate Inventory management system is in place, correct inventory level is maintained and variances are within acceptable threshold.
4. Help ensure the appropriate data processing system is in place and accuracy of recorded data, information and reports generated is maintained.
5. Collaborates with other concerned teams to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the farm facilities.
6. Ensures that appropriate bio-security protocol is in place, implemented and complied and collaborates with concerned teams for the implementation of physical security.
7. Monitors, evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of the third-party manpower provider to ensure it's within agreed service level commitment.
8. Prepares a sound budget proposal and implements approved budget, ensuring proper cost management.

Community Relations
1. Responds to farm-related community concerns by recommending and executing appropriate actions to address the concern.

People Development
1. Supervises, monitors and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
2. Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct reports

Other Tasks
1. Appointed membership to committees whenever necessary.
2. Manages the expansion projects and improvements of the farm as may be assigned.
3. Performs other work-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Food Safety:
1. Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
2. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader.

Qualifications

Education:
● Must be a graduate of any of the following courses: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (licensed) ; Bachelor of Science in Agriculture – Major in Animal Science; Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry; or Agri-related courses

Experience:
● At least five (5) years supervisory experience in a 2,000 sow or more level swine farm.
