The SSA Specialist serves as CACI’s Logistics Management professional responsible for senior-level coordination and execution of Supply Support Activity operations supporting receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, inventory control, stock management, material accountability, and customer support. Reporting to the Supply Chain Management Lead, this position provides technical expertise to maintain supply availability, inventory accuracy, asset visibility, audit readiness, and responsive sustainment across geographically dispersed locations.

The SSA Specialist works closely with Government stakeholders, logisticians, warehouse personnel, inventory control technicians, transportation coordinators, procurement personnel, property personnel, maintenance teams, subcontractors, and mission partners to synchronize SSA operations, resolve complex supply discrepancies, analyze stockage requirements, and improve material flow. The position supports Joint Theater Distribution Centers (JTDCs), Intermediate Staging Bases (ISBs), warehouses, staging areas, and forward or expeditionary logistics locations and provides technical guidance to junior supply personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead SSA specialists, inventory personnel, and warehouse staff supporting daily supply support operations across assigned locations.
  • Assign and prioritize team workloads, establish operational priorities, and allocate personnel and resources to meet mission, schedule, and customer requirements.
  • Manage employee performance through clear expectations, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and professional development; address performance issues in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversee staffing, shift coverage, training, and workforce readiness for steady-state, surge, contingency, and emergent SSA requirements.
  • Maintain management accountability for SSA operational quality, inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, customer support, schedules, deliverables, and compliance.
  • Identify and manage operational, staffing, supply, and execution risks; direct corrective actions, track issues to closure, and elevate significant risks or resource constraints as appropriate.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination among supply, warehouse, transportation, procurement, maintenance, property, and operational teams to resolve competing priorities and sustain effective material flow.
  • Perform senior-level SSA functions supporting receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, inventory control, stock management, and accountability of supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate daily SSA workload, transaction processing, inventory actions, customer requests, and material flow to ensure timely and accurate mission support.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SSA specialists, inventory personnel, and warehouse staff on supply procedures and accountability requirements.
  • Process and review supply requests, receipts, issues, lateral transfers, turn-ins, adjustments, and supporting documentation in applicable accountable logistics systems.
  • Analyze stock records, due-in/due-out status, document registers, demand history, stockage levels, backorders, excesses, shortages, and material availability.
  • Plan and support cyclic, sensitive-item, location, and wall-to-wall inventories; research complex discrepancies and coordinate reconciliation and corrective actions.
  • Support development, validation, and maintenance of Authorized Stockage Lists (ASL), Prescribed Load Lists (PLL), or equivalent stockage requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, procurement, maintenance, property, and operational personnel to synchronize receipt, staging, issue, redistribution, and onward movement.
  • Monitor storage location management, stock rotation, shelf-life controls, and segregation requirements for controlled, sensitive, hazardous, or special-handling materiel.
  • Research and resolve complex supply discrepancies, unmatched transactions, frustrated cargo, backorders, inventory variances, and system-data inconsistencies.
  • Develop SSA status reports, inventory summaries, readiness metrics, transaction performance measures, and decision-support products for Government and program leadership.
  • Support asset visibility across JTDCs, ISBs, warehouses, staging areas, and forward or expeditionary logistics locations.
  • Support contingency, exercise, humanitarian assistance/disaster response, surge, and emergent operations requiring rapid establishment or expansion of SSA capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain SSA SOPs, work instructions, inventory controls, process maps, business rules, and logistics documentation.
  • Support integration, validation, and reconciliation of data from ERP, APSR, inventory management, asset visibility, and warehouse management systems.
  • Participate in logistics synchronization meetings, operational reviews, inventories, inspections, and audit-readiness activities; track actions through completion.
  • Ensure SSA activities comply with applicable DoD logistics policies, accountability requirements, contractual requirements, and established program procedures.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, stockage effectiveness, material availability, warehouse efficiency, asset visibility, and customer support.
Qualifications
