Job summary

John Clements Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Accounting professional to support month-end close, inventory costing, and cost analysis in a manufacturing environment. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

Hybrid work setup in Makati with mid or night shift; 2+ years of accounting experience, and familiarity with SAP, OneStream, and Power BI preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, with month-end close and inventory accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP, OneStream, Power BI, or costing systems preferred.
• Manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or distribution accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and close schedules.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, and related accounts.
• Investigate and resolve variances related to inventory valuation, PPV, freight costs, and standard costing.
• Generate and analyze inventory, cost, logistics, and variance reports for financial reporting.
• Support inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve analysis, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Assist with accounting processes related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and valuation.
• Partner with Supply Chain Accounting teams to review standard costs, PPV, and inventory valuation.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support close.

About the role

This role supports supply chain and inventory accounting activities within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory accounting, and cost analysis, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account analysis, close schedules, and supporting documentation

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, inventory in transit, freight accruals, logistics-related accounts, and other supply chain balances

• Investigate and resolve accounting variances related to inventory valuation, purchase price variances (PPV), freight costs, and standard costing

• Generate and analyze recurring inventory, cost, logistics, and variance reports to support financial reporting and decision-making

• Support inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates, inventory reserve analysis, adjustments, and reconciliations

• Assist with accounting processes related to freight, warehousing, procurement, inventory movements, and inventory valuation

• Partner with Supply Chain Accounting teams to review and analyze standard costs, PPV, inventory valuation, and other cost accounting activities

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements

• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries in a timely manner

• Collaborate with Supply Chain Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Plant Controllers, Procurement, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support an efficient financial close

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related course.

• At least 2 years of accounting experience, with preferred experience in month-end close, inventory accounting, standard costing, and supply chain accounting.

• Experience with SAP, OneStream, Power BI, inventory systems, or costing systems preferred

• Experience supporting manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or distribution accounting processes preferred

• Ability to work onsite in Makati under a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite per week).

• Amenable to working a Midshift or Nightshift schedule.
