Responsibilities

• Supervise daily journal entry preparation to record revenue and expenses.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations between system reports and general ledger.
• Coordinate with Finance and Business Units for proper accounting treatment.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation reports for regulators and management.
• Supervise auditing activities in line with Revenue Audit SOPs.
• Review POS menu configuration and system access requests for validity.
• Provide training and guidance to Auditors.
• Assist Manager Audit in supervising the team.

Position Summary

The Supervisor reviews the journal entries prepared by the Auditor to ensure accuracy with accordance to GAAP. He / She manages the daily auditing process providing guidance & support to the auditing team and ensure reports are distributed on or before the agreed timeline. He / She is responsible for reviewing Menu configuration, testing and access request of POS system.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervises the preparation of daily journal entries to record revenue, expenses, and balance sheet postings.


• Prepares monthly reconciliation of system reports against general ledger account balances.


• Coordinates with other Finance team and Business Unit to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of transactions and address operational issues or provide operational support.


• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports as mandated by government regulators and senior management.


• Supervises the auditing of all activity in accordance with Revenue Audit standard operating procedures.


• Reviews menu item configuration in the POS system and system access request actioned by Revenue Auditor to ensure it is valid, accurate and complete.


• Provides training and guidance to the Auditors.


• Supervises retrieval of documents requested by Internal and External Auditors.


• Assists the Manager, Audit in the supervision of the Audit team.


• Develops processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness


• Identification and resolution of accounting exceptions including escalation as needed.


• Completion of monthly accounting close with minimal unresolved reconciling items.


• Effective communication with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.


• Adheres and supports the Company's Vision and Values.


• All other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

I. Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years Audit or Accounting experience


• Work experience in casino or hospitality industry is preferred

II. Education

Graduate of Business-related course preferably in Accounting

III. Skills / Competencies

• Good written and oral communication skills in English.


• Knowledgeable in MS Office Products particularly Excel.
