Job summary

Orica is seeking an On Bench Supervisor in Masbate to lead a site team, oversee blasting activities and ensure safe operation of plant and equipment while maintaining safety, quality and operational excellence.

You will coordinate explosive delivery, drive continuous improvement, and ensure SHES compliance while collaborating with customers and site stakeholders to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Bacherlor's Degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Experience in heavy industry, preferably within mining or explosives.
• Knowledge of CDG, Permit to Work, Clearance Authority and LOTO.
• Valid driver's licence with required site certifications (S1/S2/S3 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with SHES, SHEC, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead site operations, blasting activities, and equipment management while maintaining safety.
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, permit controls, and incident reporting.
• Supervise, coach, and develop site personnel through training and performance management.
• Manage inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and resource planning.
• Ensure site readiness through housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and reliability programs.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, material requirements, and operational activities.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by delivering reliable service.
• Lead audits, compliance activities, and corrective action plans with a focus on improvement.
• Drive environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on mining operations by coordinating explosive delivery services, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Orica's SHES, Quality, and programs. You will work closely with customers and site stakeholders to deliver reliable blasting solutions that support production targets while prioritizing safety and environmental responsibility.

What you will be doing

• Ensure site readiness through effective housekeeping, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability programs.
• Coordinate daily work schedules, raw material requirements, and operational activities to meet customer needs.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering reliable service and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead audits, compliance activities, and corrective action plans while driving continuous improvement, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

What you will bring

• Bacherlor's Degree in Mining Engineering
• Experience in heavy industry, preferably within mining, explosives, or related operations environments.
• Knowledge of Carriage of Dangerous Goods (CDG), Permit to Work systems, Clearance Authority processes, and Lock Out/Tag Out compliance.
• Valid driver's licence with Generic Mining Induction and relevant site operational certifications (S1, S2, and S3 preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with exposure to auto electrical, fibre optic, hydraulic systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience in change management, operational compliance, and Tier 4 (Licence to Lead) or equivalent supervisory training.
