Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Superintendent – Surface Operations for the Didipio mine in the Philippines. The role leads surface production activities including ore rehandling, mobile crushing, stockpile management, and civil project support to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
• 10+ years of mining, quarrying, bulk earthworks, crushing operations, or civil project delivery with significant leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing contractor-operated mining or earthmoving activities.
• Strong knowledge of surface mining operations, mobile crushing, production planning, contractor management, and cost control.
• Professional Engineering registration and project management qualifications are advantageous.
• Valid driver's license required.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent – Surface Operations to lead Didipio's surface production activities, including medium-grade ore rehandling, contractor mobile crushing operations, load and haul activities, stockpile management, and civil project support. This leadership role is responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations while ensuring production targets, contractor performance, and project objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and operational planning capabilities.
• Professional Engineering registration and project management qualifications are advantageous.
• Valid driver's license required.
