Job summary

ACCIONA Construction Philippines is seeking a Subcontracts Manager to lead the full lifecycle of subcontract packages, from procurement through close-out, ensuring alignment with the main contract and project risk profile.

You will negotiate terms, monitor performance, manage variations and claims, and coordinate with commercial and project controls to protect cost, schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• 10 years total experience in construction projects.
• 5 years in a similar Subcontracts Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of subcontracting and contract administration.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare subcontract packages including scope of works, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
• Negotiate subcontract terms, pricing, scope alignment, and contractual conditions.
• Ensure subcontract agreements align with main contract obligations and project risk profile.
• Administer all subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against scope, programme, quality, and safety requirements.
• Manage subcontract variations, claims, instructions, and contractual correspondence.
• Certify subcontractor interim payments in coordination with quantity surveyors and project controls.
• Ensure compliance with subcontract terms, conditions, and reporting requirements.

The role will be key to ensuring the proper management, administration and coordination of project subcontracts, in line with contractual requirements, project needs, budget, schedule, quality standards and operational requirements.

Job Description

The Subcontracts Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of all subcontract packages, from procurement and award through to final account close-out. The role involves negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring subcontract agreements align with the main contract requirements and project risk profile. Once awarded, the Subcontracts Manager administers contracts by monitoring performance, progress, cost, quality, and safety compliance, while managing variations, claims, payments, and contractual correspondence.
