Job summary

Surbana Jurong in the Philippines is seeking a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design, analysis, and supervision on infrastructure projects in the Mandaluyong area.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, prepare calculations, drawings, and design reports, and review documentation per local and international codes. Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a strong structural background.
• Licensed/registered Civil Engineer with a valid professional license.
• 5–10 years of experience in structural engineering design, analysis, and supervision.
• Experience with buildings, bridges, dams, or similar infrastructure is a plus.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE).
• Knowledge of international/local design codes and standards.
• Ability to prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to undertake site visits and manage multiple assignments.

Job description

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization or strong background in Structural Engineering.
• Must be a licensed/registered Civil Engineer with a valid professional license.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design, analysis, and construction supervision, depending on the level of the position.
• Experience in the design and assessment of buildings, bridges, dams, hydropower structures, or other civil/structural infrastructure is an advantage.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design using relevant engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of applicable international and local structural design codes and standards.
• Ability to prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines.
• Experience in international engineering consultancy projects is an advantage.
• Willingness to undertake site visits and field assignments, as required.
• Familiarity with SMEC’s relevant technical standards, quality systems, and project procedures is an advantage.
