Job summary

SMEC is seeking an experienced Civil/Bridge Engineer in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. The role focuses on bridge design, structural analysis, and detailed design across multiple sites as needed.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare calculations, and review technical documents to ensure project success. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of bridge design experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with design codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering required.
• Licensed civil engineer is an advantage.
• 5 to 8 years of bridge design experience.
• Proven bridge structural analysis, detailed design, and design review experience.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MIDAS, STAAD, and ETABS.
• Experience preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and design docs.
• Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to support projects across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
• Must have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in bridge design and engineering.
• Strong experience in bridge structural analysis, detailed design, and design review of bridge projects.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and design practices.
• Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MIDAS, STAAD, ETABS, or similar tools.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and design documentation is preferred.
• Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to support projects across various locations as required.
