Job summary

The role includes calculations for concrete and steel, ensuring drawings meet design codes and quality standards, and developing gravity, wind, and seismic design criteria. You will guide drafters and junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily tasks involved in design of facilities and structures.
• Under supervision, perform all aspects of design and coordinate design/construction activities.
• Perform calculations for design of structural members of concrete and steel.
• Check details to ensure compliance with design codes and quality standards.
• Develop design criteria such as gravity loads, wind and seismic.
• Apply knowledge of statics, strength of materials, finite element modeling, and building systems.
• Provide technical guidance to drafters and less experienced engineers.
• Understand how own discipline integrates with other disciplines.
