Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Structural Engineer to support BG&E teams in Australia, the UK and New Zealand. This hybrid, dayshift role is based in Pasay and requires at least four years of building-structures experience.

You will use ETABS, RAM Concept, RAPT, Microstran/SpaceGas, IdeaStatica and Strand7 for design and analysis, coordinating with drafting teams and engineers. You will contribute to foundations, columns, walls and slabs design, while aligning with Australian/British/EuroCode

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in structural engineering.
• 4+ years post-graduate experience in building structures.
• Experience with multiple structural design software tools listed above.
• General understanding of construction and detailing; AS preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general structural engineering design for building projects for BG&E teams in AU/UK/NZ.
• Design foundations, columns, walls, slabs, roofs and awnings to relevant standards.
• Design with steel, reinforced concrete, and post‑tensioned systems.
• Follow BG&E design guidelines and checklists; liaise with engineers to meet time frames.
• Prepare calculations and coordinate with drafting for drawings delivery.

Your Role

• General structural engineering design for building structure projects assisting BG&E’s structural engineering teams from Australia, UK and NZ.
• Design of structural building elements such as foundations, columns, walls, slabs, roofs, awnings to the relevant national standards and codes (i.e Australian Standards, British Standards, EuroCode).
• Design of various structural materials and construction systems such as steel, reinforced concrete, post‑tensioned concrete.
• Design to BG&E Design Guidelines and checklists.
• Liaise with managing engineers and work to the agreed time frames.
• Mark‑up designs to initiate drafting, then liaise with the drafting team and back‑check the formal drawings.
• Save neat engineering calculations and software files in project folders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years post‑graduate experience in the building structures sector.
• Working knowledge of structural design software such as of Etabs, RAM Concept, RAPT, Microstran/SpaceGas, IdeaStatica, and Strand7 (note proficient experience in all of the listed software is preferable but not a pre‑requisite).
• General understanding of construction and required structural detailing.
• General understanding of project risks and opportunities.
• Sound working knowledge Revu Bluebeam preferable but not critical
• Experience with Australian Standards preferable but not critical.
