Arcadis – Structural Design Engineer (APM) – Manila, Philippines
Role Description
This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and supports engineering solutions across a global network of professionals in India, Romania, and the Philippines. The successful candidate will be dedicated to one country or work on projects that span multiple regions, contributing to sustainable design and engineering solutions worldwide.
This role is part of a talent pooling process; once the position is active, candidate processing will begin.

Role Accountabilities
- Carry out a range of activities to support the development and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Provide a substantial technical role for a single discipline on smaller or less complex project elements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure designs meet project standards and code requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, regional teams, and other GEC activities to produce engineering deliverables.
- Can be assigned to a Task Management role.
- Conduct training and guidance for junior team members.
- Develop industry knowledge of international design standards through internal training, certifications, and continuous education.
- Lead a team on a project.
- Automate design processes and workflows.
- Ensure correctness and quality of project deliverables.
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in using management system requirements to support design and engineering project delivery.
- Active participation in safe design processes, incorporating hazard identification and risk assessment during design development.
- Input into discussions around techniques, procedures, and methods to undertake engineering tasks.
- Excellent time management skills demonstrated through project performance.
- Experience on large‑scale infrastructure metro projects (above‑and below‑ground station design) is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Master’s degree is an advantage.
- License in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Working toward charterships with international institutes (UK, US, Canada, Australia) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–6 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Experience working in a design consultancy firm.
- Proficiency with structural engineering software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, RISA, Robot, TEDDS, Tekla Structures, or SCIA.
- Knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in applying international design standards (US, Canada, UK & Ireland, European, Australian).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Programming knowledge using C++, Python, or Dynamo is an advantage.
