Role Description
This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. Role Accountabilities
- Lead design team and undertake structural design to required country regulations and standards as well as company quality requirements.
- Present appropriate technical solutions and methodologies to the team, task managers and project managers in Arcadis’ regional offices necessary for task / project delivery.
- Ensure structural design is translated into structural drawings and BIM models in accordance with company standard details and appropriate construction methodology.
- Lead task delivery to provide clients with results of good quality, in a timely manner and within agreed budget.
- Ensure collaborative working with the team, the region, other disciplines, and stakeholders.
- Establish task briefs, cost build-ups and scope documents to properly plan tasks with agreement from project leads and other stakeholders.
- Ensure project execution plan is in place and is implemented throughout project delivery.
- Undertake internal verification reviews to ensure the quality of output by the junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure alignment of task delivery to wider team goals through timely communication of task updates, resource plan, financial control, and risk management to senior team leaders.
- Help improve the team’s design methodologies and work procedures by incorporating expertise, ideas, and new technologies/solutions to project delivery.
- Support the improvement of performance and behaviors of junior staff through technical mentoring and guidance.
- Apply Arcadis health and safety principles during planning and delivery of work.
- Work in an ethical manner and with integrity by complying with Arcadis General Business Principles and specific anti-corruption standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Licensed Philippine civil engineer; Chartership and/or
- 5-10 years of hands‑on experience in structural design.
- Highly skilled in using design and analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAPT, STAAD, RAM Concept, Robot, Strand7, SpaceGass and Microstran.
- Strong background in different structural design codes such as Australian, European and/or American structural codes and standards.
- Experienced in leading structural design teams to project delivery.
- Preferable to have experience in a task/project manager role or equivalent.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and able to work under pressure.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
- Effective communication via written and spoken English.
