Structural CAD Technician: Drafting & BIM Specialist

Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join the Structural Team and provide CAD support to engineering projects. You will prepare structural drawings developed from basic data supplied, under supervision.

You will adhere to CAD standards and QA procedures, develop GA drawings from engineer sketches, and ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings. You will work with the project team to meet priorities and deadlines and follow document control and archiving guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
• 3-7 years of relevant structural drafting experience.
• Experience on several sized projects as CAD support within a CAD team.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and collaboration tools like ProjectWise and Blue Beam Revu.
• Proficiency in Revit, OBM, and Dynamo is an advantage.
• Preferably with experience on Australian projects.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
• Prepare engineering drawings from sketches and design information under supervision.
• Comply with CAD Standards and Quality Systems and apply common techniques.
• Develop time management skills to manage varying workload.
• Agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production with the Project Lead.
• Develop GA drawings from engineer sketches and coordinated details.
• Ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials.
• Adhere to drafting standards and procedures.
• Follow QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work.
• Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisors in line with experience and qualifications.
