Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Design Technician to join our Project Delivery team in the Philippines. You will turn engineering concepts into high-quality structural models and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD, focusing on steel and concrete structures.

You'll collaborate with Structural Engineers and multidisciplinary teams, owning your structural scope, solving problems, and driving design quality.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of structural drafting/design experience.
College coursework in Revit or 10+ year hands-on Revit experience.
Minimum 1 year of AutoCAD experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Develop structural models and construction deliverables using Revit and AutoCAD, with a focus on steel and concrete structures.
Create structural models from scratch based on sketches, redlines, and verbal direction from engineers.
Coordinate structural designs with other disciplines using clash detection tools.
Incorporate and manage electronic redlines following established workflows.
Take full ownership of your assigned structural scope, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Perform self-checks and coordinate design packages to minimize conflicts.
Provide support and informal mentoring to junior designers when needed.
Participate in quality reviews to ensure compliance with project and structural standards.
Actively contribute to improving workflows, tools, and design automation initiatives.
