Job summary

SPX Express in Manila is seeking a Middle Mile Planner to manage the truck network from sorting centers to regional hubs. You will forecast daily truck needs, coordinate departure times with warehouses, and minimize idle time while controlling transport costs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering or related field, 2+ years in truck routing or logistics planning, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and familiarity with SQL or Tableau is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• 2+ years in truck routing, fleet operations, or logistics planning.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables); SQL/Tableau a plus.

Responsibilities

• Truck Capacity Planning: Create daily/weekly plans based on parcel volumes.
• Schedule Coordination: Align truck departures with sorting schedules to minimize idle time.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with 3PLs to ensure timely truck arrivals.
• Load Optimization: Monitor cube utilization and map backloads to avoid empty trips.
• Peak Season Preparation: Plan extra truck supply for major sales events.
• Performance Tracking: Build tracking sheets to report costs and utilization.
