Job summary

SGS, a world-leading testing, inspection and certification company, seeks a procurement professional in Makati to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, manage contracts, and optimize vendor relationships. Strong Oracle ERP skills and data analysis capabilities are required.

The role involves executing local and international supplier strategies, ensuring timely PO-related processes, and delivering regular spend insights to inform procurement decisions. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Contracts and Procurement with at least 5 years in strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems and advanced data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved for the business requirements.
• Analyze and manage contracts to optimize terms, ensuring compliance, identifying enhancement opportunities, and considering potential legal implications.
• Facilitate the administration of vendor-related activities such as registration to the system, rating onsite inspection and evaluation of vendors.
• Sourcing for local and foreign suppliers. Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
• Evaluate, select, and establish relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for goods and services.
• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.
• Develops and delivers regular spend reports based on the data available from all available sources, identify early trends and potential solutions.
• Analyze category, market and industry trends along with advances in sourcing to develop appropriate recommendations regarding the procurement of goods and services.
• Perform other task related to work designation as per instruction by the supervisor.
