Job summary

Cockram Scenario - Philippine ROHQ is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to estimate and control costs across large construction projects in Metro Manila. You will liaise with clients, prepare tender documents, and ensure compliance with laws and quality standards.

The role requires a Civil or Mechanical engineering degree, PRC licensure, and 3–5 years of hands-on experience in construction. Strong data management, attention to detail, and fluent English are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of measurement and valuation.
• Ability to maintain large amounts of financial data and paperwork systematically.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients to identify their needs.
• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labor.
• Preparing tender and contract documents.
• Identifying and weighing up commercial risks.
• Assigning work to subcontractors.
• Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments.
• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.
• Advising on the maintenance costs of specific buildings.
• Submitting regular budget reports.
• Following building regulations and health and safety.
• Working at a client’s business, in an office or on a construction site.
• Performed measurements for structural and architectural works to prepare cost estimates for projects.
• Formulate cost analysis for project goods and services by gathering information from suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare project estimate, oversee design phase, and deliver updated cost plans for different construction stages.
• Monitor and keep track of project progress as well as the measurement and valuation of variations.
