Job summary

Asian Terminals Incorporated is seeking a procurement specialist responsible for converting authorized purchase requests into purchase orders promptly, ensuring economical costs and compliance with the company's safety standards for all suppliers and contractors.

You will source bids, coordinate with requisitioning teams for accurate item specifications, evaluate urgency and quantity, and monitor purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Industrial Engineering or any 4-year Business course.
• Experience in purchasing and e-bidding procedures.
• Knowledgeable in procurement delivery fulfilment, data analysis, and negotiation.
• With good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications.

Responsibilities

• Handles sourcing and tabulation of bids of assigned category items.
• Coordinates with requisitioning department/party for the accurate specification and description of the items requested and evaluates the requisition as to urgency, nature of items and quantity needed.
• Coordinates with at least 3 suppliers for the submission of table of quotation and offers.
• Monitors Purchase Request and Purchase Orders and ensures that items are processed and delivered within schedule.
• Manages and maintains enrollment, deactivation, updating of supplier information and cost.
• Ensures strict compliance of suppliers/ contractors to the safety and security policy of the company.
