Job summary

Burckhardt Compression AG. is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement process for projects and commodities. You will negotiate with vendors, issue POs through ERP, monitor delivery timelines, and ensure quality compliance as part of a fast-paced growth environment.

The role requires mechanical engineering background and strong communication in English, with knowledge of EOHS and SAP MM. Multilingual capability is valued for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• BE (Mech.) with 5–7 years of experience or DME with 10–12 years experience.
• Knowledge of SAP MM module; MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
• General awareness about material standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Languages: English, Hindi, Marathi; German is a plus.
• EOHS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage procurement for assigned projects and commodities.
• Float enquiries for project items.
• Evaluate quotations, negotiate, and raise Purchase Orders via ERP system.
• Vendor follow-up and expediting to ensure timely delivery and QA clearance.
• Control costs in line with budgets and cost sheets.
• Inventory control; manage slow-moving items.
• Evaluate vendor performance with QA.
• Document Purchase Orders and maintain MIS/data records.
• Maintain QMS and procedures; nurture vendor relationships.
• Plan and coordinate with vendors.
