Job summary

GW Fortune Builders in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer/Officer to manage sourcing, canvassing, negotiation, and coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to support project requirements.

The role emphasizes timely procurement, cost efficiency, accurate documentation, and close collaboration with engineering, project management, accounting, and site staff to ensure smooth procurement execution and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related course.
• With experience in procurement, vendor management, or construction-related purchasing (preferred)
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and basic procurement tracking tools
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors; maintain an updated vendor database
• Conduct cost comparisons, prepare cost summaries, and recommend cost-efficient procurement solutions
• Perform subcontractor canvassing; ensure timely submission of quotations, contracts, and agreements
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve additional cost savings for the company
• Prepare and submit complete and accurate liquidation documents, including receipts and invoices, on time
• Manage and update the Project Tracker; ensure timely closing of procurement line items
• Conduct advance canvassing and negotiate terms in accordance with the approved procurement plan and project schedule
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, site administrative staff (including timekeepers), suppliers, and subcontractors
• Handle multiple procurement tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proactively recommend improvements to procurement and supply chain processes
• Comply with company policies, including attendance and punctuality standards
