Job summary

Chevron Corporation is seeking a Category Specialist in Makati City, Philippines to manage procurement processes for the International Fuel & Lubricants business. The role emphasizes category management, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration with regional teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a background in engineering, business, or supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related fields.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience; experience in terminal/blend plant environment is a plus.
• Experience with category management: planning, contract management and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of total cost ownership (TCO) and should cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of assigned categories and develop country annual contracting plans.
• Develop procurement strategies to drive cost savings using strategic sourcing principles.
• Lead or support negotiations with suppliers and contracts.
• Provide guidance on P2P compliance and procurement policies to stakeholders.
• Support regional/category managers on cost management opportunities and special projects.
