Job summary

Vismotor Corporation in Cebu City (Head Office – Talamban) seeks an experienced IT Director to lead technology operations, security, and digital initiatives. You will strategize IT plans, oversee infrastructure, and drive vendor relationships across the enterprise.

You will manage a team, coordinate with department heads, and ensure continuity, data protection, and compliance. A strong background in cloud, on-premise systems, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• At least five years of IT managerial or leadership experience; retail industry preferred.
• Experience managing cloud and on-premise servers, networks, databases and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of POS, lending, inventory management, SAP, and e-commerce systems.
• Strong cybersecurity background and experience with threat detection, encryption, access control, endpoint security, and compliance.
• Proficient with Windows Server, Linux Server, virtualization, MySQL or MariaDB.
• Knowledge of IT service management, ticketing systems, backup processes, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in project management, vendor negotiation, contract management, and vendor performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence platforms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: AWS, Microsoft, server, or cybersecurity certifications; master’s degree advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee networks, servers, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, databases, and business applications.
• Ensure system availability, data security, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Lead IT projects from planning and budgeting to implementation and completion.
• Manage IT support services, ticket resolution, preventive maintenance, and technology assets.
• Strengthen cybersecurity measures, endpoint protection, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Evaluate software, systems, vendors, and third-party IT service providers.
• Maintain updated IT policies, technical documentation, network diagrams, and recovery procedures.
• Partner with department heads to identify technology needs and implement system improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT team.
