Capacita Consultants seeking a Finance Manager to oversee budgeting, reporting, and financial planning for a client in the logistics sector. The role focuses on ensuring GAAP compliance, providing strategic financial insights, and guiding cost management decisions across departments.

The ideal candidate will lead forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and collaboration with auditors and regulators to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar finance leadership role.
• Preferably experienced in the Logistics, Trucking/Services, Cargo, and Freight Industry.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and applicable financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and financial management software/ERP systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key financial metrics.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis against actual performance.
• Collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and cost management initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide management with actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
