Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Jharkhand is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a sponge iron plant, directing strategy, cash flow, and governance. You will oversee cost control, working capital, tax compliance, audits, and banking relations with deep knowledge of ERP systems.

The role requires 10–15 years in finance, including 5+ years in leadership within steel/manufacturing, and strong local networking to navigate regulatory landscapes.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA (Finance) from premier institution.
• 10–15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Manufacturing or Steel/Sponge Iron sector.
• Deep understanding of ERP systems, financial modeling, and cost accounting.
• Experience with GST, corporate tax, and mining royalties/levies.
• Ability to work in a demanding, on-site plant environment with strong local networking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term financial plans to support plant expansion and operational efficiency.
• Monitor unit-level costs to ensure margins are protected in a volatile commodity market.
• Manage cash flow, trade credit, and inventory levels to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to GST, corporate tax, and mining royalties/levies.
• Lead internal and external audits; provide transparent financial reporting to the Board.
• Handle banking relationships, credit facilities, and hedging strategies for raw material procurement.
