Job summary

Confidential Careers in Mexico seeks a Chief Financial Officer to shape the company’s financial model, cash plan, margins, and capital strategy. Reporting to the CEO, you will turn data into decisions and scale the finance function from founder-level to a reliable system.

You will partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to allocate cash where it yields the best return, while ensuring compliance with Mexican accounting and tax regulations in a multinational context.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in a CFO role.
• Has previously created or rebuilt the finance function (models, closing, reporting) for an agile B2C company.
• Direct experience in inventory accounting, P&L by business division and channel, and in marketplaces, live commerce, and retail.
• Strong knowledge of legal accounting and tax regulations in Mexico.
• 7-10 in the role of Chief Financial Officer.
• Has previously created or rebuilt the finance function (models, closing, reporting) for an agile and B2C company.
• Direct experience in inventory accounting, profit and loss by business division and channel, and in the realities of marketplaces, live commerce, and retail.
• Strong knowledge of legal accounting and tax regulations in Mexico.
• Experience working in a multinational organization with exposure to corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's financial picture including the model, cash, margins, and capital plan (P&L).
• Report directly to the CEO and translate data into clear decisions for management.
• Build the finance function from founder-level accounting to a reliable system for ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to allocate cash where it yields the most return.
