Job summary

Citotech Integrated Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Steel/Precast Detailer Checker in Manila to review models, drawings, and fabrication/production drawings for accuracy and compliance with Australian project standards. You will coordinate with modelers and detailers to resolve issues and attend client coordination meetings as needed.

The role requires experience in Australian structural steel detailing and a proven checker background, with reliable equipment and internet access.

Qualifications

• Experience in Australian structural steel detailing is a MUST.
• Checker experience is highly preferred (around 5 years is ideal, but relevant experience will be considered).
• Must have reliable working equipment and a stable internet connection and be ready to work using their own equipment upon commencement.

Responsibilities

• Review 3D models, drawings and fabrication/production drawings for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate with Modelers/Detailers to resolve comments and discrepancies.
• Attend client and project coordination meetings and discuss drawing comments and revisions.
• Check steel and precast models, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify drawings against engineering/architectural drawings, project specs and Australian Standards.
• Check dimensions, member locations, connections, reinforcement, bolts and welds.
• Identify clashes, missing information, and constructability issues before release.
• Review revisions and client comments to ensure updates are reflected.
• Review material lists, schedules and quantities from models.
• Maintain consistent quality to minimize fabrication errors and site issues.

About the role

The Steel/Precast Detailer Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying models, shop drawings, fabrication/production drawings, and erection drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with Australian project requirements and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures is an advantage, with the ability to navigate and review 3D models, drawings, and detailing information.
• Coordinate closely with Modelers/Detailers to resolve checking comments, technical issues, and drawing discrepancies.
• Attend client and project coordination meetings when required to discuss drawing comments, technical matters, revisions, and project requirements.
• Check and review structural steel and precast models, shop drawings, fabrication/production drawings, and erection drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify drawings against engineering and architectural drawings, project specifications, and applicable Australian Standards.
• Check dimensions, member/element locations, connections, reinforcement, cast-in items, bolts, welds, penetrations, and other relevant detailing information.
• Identify clashes, discrepancies, missing information, and constructability issues before drawings are submitted or released.
• Review revisions, engineering changes, and client comments to ensure updates are accurately reflected in the models and drawings.
• Check material lists, schedules, quantities, and other fabrication or production information generated from the models.
• Maintain consistent checking and quality standards to minimize fabrication/production errors, rework, and site issues.
