Job Summary – Staff Writer

The writer is expected to produce content in different multimedia formats such as short and long‑form articles, art card text, photo and video captions for the website and social media properties. The writer will also monitor reliable sources of information (official company releases, details from event coverage, legitimate social media channels).

The writer may also be asked to do admin‑related work such as handling social media pages, attending event coverages, and coordinating with contributors. This position entails one weekend duty shift, preferably a Sunday (ideal shift is 10 am to 7 pm). This post is not brand‑centric, and the writer may be assigned to work for other brands under Summit Media.

Key Competencies

• Writes a clear, effective copy that fits the voice of the brand
• Speed is of essence: expected to break news for the appropriate brand
• Articles may be in the form of straight news, features, personality features, OP‑EDs, listicles, affiliate, and SEO
• Interviewing skills – whether online or onsite
