Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience to own end‑to‑end instrument workloads and deliver healthy, usable telemetry to Grafana Cloud. You will shape the journey from uninstrumented workloads to trusted telemetry, coordinating across SDKs, collectors, and automation with a focus on AI‑assisted production workflows.

Qualifications

5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools or observability.
Experience leading strategy across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, OTLP, collectors, and instrumentation workflows.
Experience building or using instrumentation systems, telemetry collectors, or related tooling.

Responsibilities

Define vision, strategy, and cross‑product roadmap for OpenTelemetry telemetry in Grafana Cloud.
Create coherent onboarding and instrumentation experiences across SDKs and automatic instrumentation.
Identify top setup failures and simplify onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows.
Establish shared experience principles and success criteria across product and engineering teams.
Prioritize investments using customer research and product data; measure onboarding completion and telemetry health.
Collaborate with downstream Grafana Cloud solution teams to ensure activation from ingestion to product use.
Partner with Product Marketing to define narrative, launches, content, and adoption programs.
