Job summary

Sardine, a remote-first risk platform, seeks a Senior Platform Architect to drive technical strategy for Consumer and Business Fraud teams. You will own architecture for ultra-low-latency services, a high-throughput rules engine, and cross-cloud data strategies, mentoring engineers along the way.

You'll lead architecture decisions, ensure reliability and observability, and foster strong cross-team collaboration while shaping a scalable, real-time data processing platform for global clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering at senior scale
• Experience building highly available distributed systems with ultra-low latency
• Hands-on experience with stream processing in production

Responsibilities

• Act as the overarching technical leader for multiple teams and align platform strategy
• Architect, design and optimize ultra-low-latency backend services and a high-throughput rules engine
• Design data access patterns, partitioning, and caching across multi-cloud databases
• Develop robust pipelines for real-time feature computations and aggregations
• Mentor senior engineers and drive high technical standards from concept to delivery
