Job summary

Sardine is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to bridge our AI capabilities with clients’ fraud and compliance needs. You will own the project from requirements through deployment, embedding with clients to understand pain points and deliver AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities include training custom AI agents, production deployment, and continuous performance optimization. This role requires strong technical rigor and client-facing acumen across a remote-first, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied AI.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model integration.
• Self-motivated with strong ownership and results focus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to translate challenges into technical architectures.
• Train and deploy AI agents to prevent fraud and automate workflows.
• Apply prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation frameworks for AI agents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to scale models into production.
• Develop AI risk metrics and evaluation pipelines.
• Drive client engagements from conception to deployment.
