Job summary

Maya is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focusing on our AI Backend services within Platform Engineering. You will architect and maintain internal MicroSaaS tools, ensure reliability, and drive AI enhancements that scale the developer experience.

You will lead with a stability-first mindset, mentor engineers, collaborate with multiple teams, design scalable AWS-backed platforms, and push innovations from R&D to production while keeping security and quality at the core.

Qualifications

• Deep-rooted background in Java and Python with a stability-first mindset.
• Proficiency with AWS infrastructure for resilient, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML tech stacks and AI insertion points.
• Eagerness to learn new frameworks and evaluate production readiness.
• Ability to lead system design for modular, scalable internal platforms.
• Experience mentoring engineers and acting as a technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain internal MicroSaaS tools and platforms.
• Audit and improve tools with AI-driven enhancements (code reviews, scaling, docs).
• Partner with other teams as customers and deliver solutions for their needs.
• Design and manage AWS-based environments for long-term scalability and security.
• Research emerging technologies and run experiments for developer velocity.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in backend practices and AI.
• Lead technical design and documentation for new platforms.
