Job summary

TASQ Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Accountant in the Philippines to support US-based clients with full-cycle accounting. The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years of relevant experience, CPA preferred, GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities include general accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. You may work onsite in Baguio City or remotely, with a shift overlapping US hours (5 AM to 2 PM).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 2–5+ years’ US-based full-cycle accounting experience.
• Public accounting and/or restaurant and/or retail industry experience preferred.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and financial statement experience.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• Willing to work shift overlapping US hours – 5 AM to 2 PM or similar.
• Willing to work onsite in Baguio City or remote setup.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare/review weekly and month-end accounting reports.
• Prepare/review financial statements and reports according to schedule.
• Ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Review and modify accounting systems and procedures as needed.
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process.
• Complete special projects as necessary.
• Must be able to multitask and work on several clients in each given day.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA is highly preferred
• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in US-based full-cycle accounting
• Experience in public accounting and/or restaurant and retail industries is preferred
• Has solid financial statement experience and a clear understanding of GAAP
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
• Willing to adapt to a non-traditional work shift to overlap with the US side work hours – from 5 AM to 2 PM or the same time zone as the client
• With strong communication skills in English
• Willing to work onsite in Baguio City or in a remote setup
• Preferably available to start immediately
