Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions in Manila is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize platform solutions for our fintech environment. You’ll work on scalable architectures, tackle challenging problems, and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful software.

The role requires 2+ years in tech, proficiency in Java/Python/Go, REST APIs, and cloud/microservices experience, with a hybrid work arrangement in Manila. We value continual learning and adaptability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, engineering or similar undergraduate program.
• 2+ years of related industry experience in technical solutions, preferably in financial services, technology, or a related sector.
• Proven experience with Java, Python, or Go and building REST APIs.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and microservices architectures.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable software systems and applications.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality, reusable code that adheres to development best practices.
• Build, deploy, and optimize microservices and cloud-based architectures.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and agile workflows to accelerate development cycles.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure strong engineering principles.
• Debug and fix issues across the stack to improve performance and reliability.
• Create alerts and dashboards in Datadog for monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and firm policies.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable software systems and applications.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality, reusable code that adheres to development best practices.
• Build, deploy, optimize microservices and cloud-based system architectures.
• Support deployment pipelines, CI/CD practices, and agile workflows to accelerate development cycles.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure strong engineering principles and maintainable solutions.
• Debug and fix errors across the software stack to enhance performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Create alerts and dashboards in Datadog for monitoring application
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry protocols while adhering to the firm's policies.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Pr oven experience in at least one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, etc.
• Understanding public cloud infrastructure , particularly Google Cloud Platform and microservices architecture.
• Strong background and proven experience developing, testing, and maintaining REST APIs.
• A problem-solving mindset , with the ability to think critically through challenging engineering scenarios.
• An innate passion for learning new technologies , frameworks, and tools to contribute to dynamic software solutions.

Education and Experience

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, engineering or similar undergraduate program
• 2+ years of related industry experience, preferably in a technical solutions role within financial services, technology, or a related sector.

Work Environment

This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 2 days per week.
