Role Overview

As a Software Development Engineer III, you will:

• Design and build highly scalable, reliable, and distributed software systems.
• Own end-to-end technical solutions, from architecture and design through development, deployment, and operational excellence.
• Partner with senior engineers, principal engineers, and technical leaders to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with product managers, cross-functional teams, and customers to build innovative, customer-centric solutions.
• Drive technical excellence while contributing to the long-term architectural vision of the organization.
• Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions using modern technologies.
• Lead architectural discussions and influence technical strategy.
• Build highly available and performant distributed systems.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Continuously improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Champion engineering best practices, quality, automation, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
• - Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
