Job summary

Symbos CX is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, build, and secure scalable web applications and APIs using .NET Core and Angular. You will optimise data access with Entity Framework and SQL Server, and work across CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams.

The role emphasizes data security, performance tuning, and collaboration in Agile environments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in .NET Core, strong C#/ASP.NET Core skills, and hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in .NET Core development.
• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
• Experience with complex databases, including performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and APIs using .NET Core.
• Build and optimise data access layers using Entity Framework and advanced SQL techniques.
• Write and tune high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Work on Angular-based front-end components and integrate them with backend APIs.
• Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Apply security best practices, including authentication, authorisation, and encryption.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain high code quality standards.
• Monitor and optimise database performance, including indexing and query tuning.
• Integrate or support AI/ML-driven features and modern data-driven solutions.

As a Senior .NET Developer at Symbos, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals to design and build secure, scalable, and data-driven applications using the latest in .NET, Angular, AI and cloud technologies. To thrive at Symbos, you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field
• At least 5+ years of experience in .NET Core development
• Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, and SQL Server
• Proven experience working with complex databases, including performance tuning and query optimisation
• Solid understanding of application security practices, including authentication, authorisation, and encryption
• Experience with Angular (or similar modern front-end frameworks) and integrating front-end with backend APIs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Agile/Scrum environments
• Exposure to AI APIs or machine learning integration is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to building secure, maintainable systems
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
