The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience with C#, .NET, and Azure, including REST APIs, microservices, and database design using SQL Server/Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer – Backend & Azure with strong experience in C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend applications and APIs. The role will focus on cloud-based solutions, REST APIs, microservices, databases, integrations, CI/CD, security, and Azure services, while working closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend applications and APIs using .NET technologies.
• Build and support cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, and Storage services.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL Server, Azure SQL, and NoSQL technologies such as Cosmos DB.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, integrations, and event-driven architectures that support business and system requirements.
• Ensure application security through authentication, authorization, secure coding practices, and Azure security services.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain search and indexing solutions using Azure AI Search to support efficient data retrieval and discovery.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support the successful delivery of projects and product enhancements.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend software development using C# and .NET technologies.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and scalable backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Storage, and Azure SQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server/Azure SQL) and experience with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, or similar technologies).
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and Azure security services.
• Experience with Azure AI Search or similar search and indexing technologies is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with experience working in Agile development environments.
